The Santa Anita Lodge

Where the Rogue River Meets the Wilderness
Santa Anita's rustic lodge was built in the 1930s, and features yesterday's charm with today's amenities. Bedroom suites with private baths and fireplaces afford you luxury and privacy. In the Trophy Room - the center of lodge activity - you can relax in front of the fire, read a selection from the library, or lounge on the deck. Or perhaps you and your friends will want to unwind in the Fishermans' Lounge at the end of a busy day. Stretch out in an easy chair, share stories of the one that got away, and enjoy video highlights.

Salmon and Steelhead
The focus of outdoor activity is fishing on the Rogue, where salmon and steelhead are legendary. Each season the river is re-nurtured, so anglers at Santa Anita have some of the best fishing in the country just off their porch!

The Wilderness Beckons
The unspoiled beauty of the Wild Rogue Wilderness area provides the backdrop for both adventure and relaxation. In the spring and summer, rafters converge on the Rogue River to enjoy some of the finest whitewater in the West, and the Santa Anita Lodge is the hub of the action. Launching is convenient, and rafters can look forward to a warm shower at the end of their adventures. Hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, and golf are also available nearby, or you can just relax and curl up at the lodge with a good book. From jet boat rides to berry picking, Santa Anita offers something for everyone.

Oregon's Rich Wildlife
Enjoy your morning coffee on the back porch while watching a bear eat his breakfast of wild apples, or catch an osprey diving for a fresh fish. In the courtyard find deer nibbling at the fallen acorns, and at dusk you may even get a glimpse of an elk herd grazing across the meadow.
